Franklin's Index of Viable Entrepreneurism Indicator...For an entrepreneur, the statistics are rather daunting - only one company in five gets to celebrate its fifth year anniversary. Good concepts must be followed up with good execution...
There are so many variables: Management, Financing, Product, Staff, Sales, Marketing... and the list goes on and on. Predicting a company's success or even lack thereof has always been problematic, but now we think there is help. We have developed a tool called the Franklin Index of Viable Entrepreneurism, which can provide such an indication. It is called FIVE, for short, and represents, on a scale of one to five (five being the highest), the relative likelihood of a company becoming operationally, well, viable. So How Does FIVE Work? The FIVE Indicator is calculated by reviewing all the critical areas from the stakeholders' perspectives. There are 31 individual considerations, which are grouped into five major categories:
For each of the 31 considerations, there is a conceptual as well as an executional component. Some of these factors are more important than others, so there is also a weighting mechanism. When all the calculations are done, we obtain the overall FIVE Indicator for your company. In addition, this breaks down into two factors: the Conceptual and the Executional. These two factors show the relative level of the concept of the product or service and the ability of the team to execute that concept - to deliver the results. It's the effectiveness of the ideas compared to the efficiency of how the plans for these ideas are implemented. The Franklin FIVE can give you a better indication of how well your company is doing on its path to success. |
